Could you tell us a little about yourself?
Well, I’d say I’m an extrovert. I like going out A LOT… I don’t quite enjoy sitting or lazing around. I like to experience new things, new events, new challenges, etc. because that keeps me going. I like to be with people and I want to be somebody who has the power to impact as well as to influence the lives of others. I think it’s like spreading the fragrance of Christ because we are the aroma of Christ (2 Cor 2:14-15).

How did you find out about Drummerforchrist.com?
It’s Vince who told me all about it!!!

Which church do you attend? And in what area are you serving, if any.
I belong to New Life Restoration Centre PJ (Chinese). I’m here for about 8 years already and I’m in the worship team.

How long have you been playing drums?
Let me count…I would say…24 months???.....

What do you practice in drums?
Haha….This is a good question. I think it’s the basics. I still could get the tempo messed up sometimes…LOL

How do you improve yourself besides practicing?
I listen to songs… I pay attention to the drum beats and the different patterns that the drummers play.

How do you keep yourself spiritually fit?
There is no short cut. Praying and studying the bible act as my foundation. I’d make sure I spend enough time with the Lord everyday.

Is there any particular drum and cymbal brand you play with?
Nope

What advice would you give to young drummers who is serving or intended to serve in the worship department?
I think it’s the spiritual life that matters other than the skills itself. It’s like playing every drum beat could mean a lot in the spiritual realm when we are serving Him especially in worship department.

What do you like to do besides drums?
I like dancing and singing. Dancing is my favourite. I couldn’t help it.

Lastly, in your own words, how would you encourage more drummers to this website?
It is not just a mere website for the drummers but it’s something that we could help to change the society. When drummers from different places in different churches unite together; carrying the same vision, there is going to be a huge transformation in churches then in the nation. Where the unity of the spirit is, there will be revival. It’s for His kingdom and for His glory!
